The Iowa Center for Assistive Technology Education and Research (ICATER) at the University of Iowa is seeking candidates for the position of Director of ICATER. ICATER assists students, educators, parents, and education professionals through training, education and research to achieve full access and participation in their communities. The Instructional Services Director will oversee the center and programs, develop and evaluate programming, provide consultative services, and act as liaison to public and private agencies and constituents on assistive technologies to enhance resources available to users.

The Department of Counseling, Educational Psychology, and Special Education at Michigan State University is seeking a faculty member at the assistant, associate, or full professor level to join our growing special education faculty. We seek a scholar with a national reputation, or the potential to establish one, in scholarship and leadership to the field of special education. The successful applicant will, in all likelihood, contribute to the campus-wide initiatives in assistive technology and development disabilities (e.g., http://vprgs.msu.edu/RAIND, http://education.msu.edu/cepse/rehab/research.asp). The ideal candidate will have an established research program and be successful in obtaining external funding (or demonstrate strong potential to do so), be committed to quality teaching and mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students, and contribute to service to the institution, profession, and community. The position is a 9-month tenure system appointment with the possibility of summer teaching. Salary is negotiable and commensurate with qualifications. Effective date of appointment will be August 16, 2014.
