Position at UW-Eau Claire in Wisconsin

POSITION:

Probationary tenure track faculty position in the Department of Special Education, at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor beginning August 20, 2012.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Earned doctorate by August 20, 2012 preferred; ABD will be considered, with completion of degree required by August 19, 2013.  Additional requirements include doctoral studies in special education; elementary (1-6) teaching experience with students with high-incidence disabilities; and expertise in research-based academic interventions for elementary students with high-incidence disabilities. The following will be considered an asset for the position: (1) expertise and experience in teaching elementary students with learning disabilities; (2) knowledge of curriculum design for students with academic needs; and (3) commitment to the values of equity, diversity, and inclusiveness.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Applicants will be expected to teach courses as assigned in the Department of Special Education; participate in research and scholarly activities; provide academic advising to students as assigned; engage in service to the university and community; and participate in department, college, and university committee work.  Salary will be commensurate with teaching experience. Summer employment is possible.
