The Department of Rehabilitation Psychology and Special Education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is seeking a Visiting Faculty member/lecturer for the 2008-2009 academic year.
Persons eligible for this position must possess a doctoral degree in Special Education or closely related field. Individuals who are ABD will be considered. All applicants must have evidence of successful teaching experience.
The individual who fills this position will be expected to teach 2 courses per semester during the 2008-2009 academic year. These courses will consist of two different graduate level seminars in own area(s) of expertise and two undergraduate teacher education courses in the department. Additionally, this individual will be expected to assist in evaluating master’s comprehensive examinations, doctoral qualifying exams and doctoral preliminary exams.
Rank/Title will be determined by current rank with the prefix of Visiting added to the rank or, if ABD, the title will be visiting lecturer. Salary will be based on current salary at home institution or current salary for lecturers in the Department of Rehabilitation Psychology and Special Education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Appointment starting and ending dates are based on the academic year: August 25, 2008 – May 24, 2009
