Special Education Faculty Tenure Track Position Temple University
Full-time Tenure Track Position in Special Education. Candidates for this position must possess a doctoral degree in special education or closely related field and must have demonstrated expertise in at least one of the following areas: mild disabilities, severe disabilities, applied behavior analysis, special education assessment, inclusive practices, technology, transition, or curriculum development. In addition, candidates should have knowledge of and experience with urban schools. Candidates will be expected to provide evidence of an established research agenda (e.g., copies of relevant publications, grant applications, etc.) as well as excellence in teaching (e.g., course evaluations, peer reviews of teaching, course syllabi, etc.) and must demonstrate familiarity with best practices in the field. Responsibilities will include teaching both graduate and undergraduate courses, maintaining an active program of research, participating in curriculum development that is responsive to new state standards, advising students, and serving on doctoral committees as appropriate.
