QUALIFICATIONS

Required
*Earned doctorate or ABD in special education or related field
(completion within one year)
*Successful teaching experience with individuals with special needs in
early childhood settings
*Demonstration of extensive knowledge and expertise in special education

Preferred
*A degree in special education
*Certification in special education (or eligible for certification)
*Evidence of successful teaching with individuals who are bilingual and
have special needs
*Evidence of successful teaching experience at the post-secondary level
*Record of research and/or publications
*Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds

POSITION DESCRIPTION /ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

*Teach courses and supervise students in an undergraduate
cross-categorical and/or graduate teacher preparation program

*Teach and supervise students in one or more of the following master’s
level programs in Bilingual, Early Childhood, Childhood, or Adolescence

*Participate in departmental and college committees

*Serve as advisor to undergraduate and graduate students

*Engage in scholarly activities

SALARY AND BENEFITS Competitive and
commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits
estimated at 30% of base salary on a ten-month contract. Summer
teaching appointments may be available for additional salary.

CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATION
